Chris Toth grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and began studying the organ at the age of eight. When he was twelve he entered the Preparatory Department at the Cleveland Institute of Music where his studies expanded to include piano, theory and harpsichord. He later earned a Bachelor of Music and Artist Diploma in Organ Performance with Karel Paukert.

While in Cleveland, Chris served multiple churches as organist, performed solo concerts, accompanied the annual performances of Handel’s Messiah with the Cleveland Messiah Chorus and acted as music director and keyboard player for over forty musical theatre productions.

Since moving to Florida, Chris has developed a demanding schedule as choral accompanist, wedding musician and church organist. As principal accompanist of the Gay Men’s Chorus of South Florida he has performed live in concert with Matthew Morrison, Alan Cumming, Linda Eder and Mano a Mano. As freelance pianist he has been part of two operatic premiers: Not In My Town (the story of Matthew Shepard) and Tesla (the story of Nikola Tesla).
